How to update the site
  1. Post today's notice
    Kestrel Youth Center → Today's notice → Add New: the date, open and close, both van times, dinner, a note. Publish by 1 p.m. The board, the facts column, the Parents page and the quick answers read it. Closed for weather? Tick "Closed today" and write why.
  2. Put a message on the board
    Kestrel Youth Center → Notices → Add New: date, time, kind, the message. It appears under today's notice and moves to "Earlier" tomorrow.
  3. Text every parent
    Kestrel Youth Center → Parent texts: write the notice, see how many numbers are on the list, press Send. In this demonstration nothing is sent; on a real site this is where the closure text goes out.
  4. Update mentor places
    Kestrel Youth Center → Mentoring → the one entry → matches, places open, next training → Update. Refer, Become a mentor and the quick answers follow it; zero places makes the referral form say waitlist.
  5. Change a program
    Kestrel Youth Center → Programs → open it → days, time, ages, room, the paragraph → Update.
  6. Report a number
    Kestrel Youth Center → Impact metrics → Add New: the number as shown, and the sentence that says how it was counted. No method, no number.
  7. Publish a new Form 990
    Media → Add New and upload the PDF. Then Kestrel Youth Center → Financial documents → Add New, choose the file, the fiscal year and the kind, and Publish. The three newest 990s are listed by themselves.
  8. Send year-end giving statements
    Kestrel Youth Center → Year-end statements → look at donors marked Fix or Check, add checks and stock under "Gifts entered by hand", preview a statement, then Send. In this demonstration nothing is emailed.
